It was the beginning of the year already. Sorting was over, and classes had begun. The professors always tended to hit the ground running and despite it being the first week, Remus already had homework and there was a test that he aimed to study for. While Remus preferred studying in the library, or the common room, Remus found his way to the Great Hall, where, in a couple of hours, dinner would be held. But for now, the room with the long tables was fairly empty. Remus held his books in his hands as he walked down the room, until he was about halfway down, finding a nice clear area where no one was sitting on the Gryffindor Table.

Remus looked around for a moment taking a look at those who were there. It was actually more empty than Remus had thought, a couple people at each of the tables. Remus sat down and began going through his books. What should he do first? Potions? COMC? DADA? Yeah. DADA sounded good. Remus took his DADA book and opened it to the required reading section, keeping a piece of paper and a quill with ink on the side so he could take notes for his later assignment of writing an essay. Sure, it was due a few days later, but it was better to get started sooner rather than later. It was about dementors, and while he hated the creatures, there was a mention of chocolate being a nice recovery item afterwards. If they were such nasty creatures, Remus would seek them out so he could go to Madame Pomfrey and get free chocolate. Chocolate is good.
